Who We Are
and why we do what we do

The Beginning
Be Spoken Ltd. was founded by twin sisters, Madisen and Makenze Humphrey, who share a passion for oratorical speaking and the positive impact it can have on individuals. Makenze began her oratorical journey at the young age of 7, reciting her first speech "Anyway" by Mother Teresa. Intrigued by her sister's impressive speaking ability, Madisen joined her the following year at the age of 8. The sisters honed their skills by competing in oratorical competitions, where they learned the fundamentals of various speaking styles. Over the years they continued to compete in oratorical competitions with Rainbow PUSH, and Jack & Jill of America, Inc .Through their experiences and achievements, Madisen and Makenze developed a deep appreciation for oratorical speaking and its potential to cultivate leadership skills and personal growth
The Now
The twins have utilized their exceptional speaking abilities in diverse ways, resulting in significant personal growth. They have been invited to speak at numerous events throughout Chicago. In 2021, Makenze's speaking prowess was showcased in an AT&T commercial alongside Lebron James. Madisen, on the other hand, wrote and delivered a remarkable speech during her school's student government election, leading to her victory. During summers, the twins taught oratorical skills to kids at a local school, discovering their affection for working with children. This passion led them to create BE SPOKEN Ltd. They designed lesson plans and conducted trials at their summer camp to gauge the children's reactions and understanding of the lessons. Encouraged by the positive response, the twins obtained a vendor's license and transformed their organization into a reality. Today, they work with various schools, imparting their curriculum to students in grades K-8. Their love for public speaking has brought about significant changes in their lives, and they aspire to extend this positive impact to others.
